The X-Files is one of the best shows in television history.

It use to scare the hell out of me when I was little... I refused to watch it when my brother did. I seemed to have missed the gene that makes you *enjoy* scaring yourself to death. But I really got into it later (the X-Files, not scaring myself - that I still don't do). Actually it was a book based on the X-Files that explained all the *real* science behind it that started my obession with all things genetic and anything science in general. It was an wonderful book, I don't remember the title (I have it just not here) but it gave everything in a easily accessible way but had the most fascinating and diverse aspects of sceince in there, from cloning to alien life.
The DVD's are waaayyyy out of my price range though (tP I would make an exception for if it *ever* comes out on DVD!)

The X-files will always be the best science fiction show ever. ;D ;D ;D It was fun though I was disappointed in the final episode. Mulder had been looking for the truth all his life, he deserved more than that. Just like the pretender, I think there were questions(3) they didn´t answer. Anyway it is still fun to watch the reruns.

I do not enjoy scaring myself (the show never scares me), I just really love the mysteries and how Mulder's always searching for the truth of alien life, government secrets, and (in the first few seasons) the truth to his sister's, Samantha, disappearance.

The x-files never scared me, it always fascinated me. Very interesting B-characters.

Supporting characters like that Ciggaret Smoking bastard(Cancer man), Alex Krychek, Mr. X, Alien bounty hunter, Lone gunmen etc This was before the writers killed most of them

Well, I wouldn't really consider CSM or Krycek to be B characters.

Gotta give credit to Chris Carter, he killed all of them. He is like David kelly. The guy really knows how to change the all cast. I wonder when he will ever learn that it doesn´t work

Chris Carter is an excellent writer. He's done so well with The X-Files. For all writers make mistakes, Carter makes up for it, usually.

He is great....but I just think that after 9 years with the X-files, there should have been a better ending. Did he really have to kill the Lone Gun Men. I cried when I saw that scene. Ending the x-files with everyone dead(supporting characters) means that the characters we have learned to love and hate wont be in a future movie(if they ever make one) I hear rumours that they are planning to make one. To me the X-files was not only about Mulder and Scully but the all cast. They all contributed to make the X-files the greatest science fiction show ever. Not having them in a future movie is like watching the Pretender without Mr./Dr. Raines, Mr. Parker, Sydney, Lyle or even Miss Parker(they did that in a certain episode...I cant even remember it )

I found this cool site where someone had writen a song about Krycek, its funny ;D ;D www.geocities.com/Area51/Chamber/2521/rebel.htmlHe's Alex Krycek (Sung to the tune of "He's a Rebel) See the way he lies through his teeth See the way he kills people he meets My, he looks so very sly when he goes walking by Why can't he die? ;D He's Alex Krycek and he'll never ever be any good He's Alex Krycek and he never ever does what he should And just because he didn't do what Cancer Man told him to, That's the reason why he nearly got blown in two ;D He is always bad to me, So I cut off his arm you see ;D
Kyle: I decide who lives or dies....
